For those asking me for reviews, there are several life time conflicts with my former students whom I have supervised, now working in research or doing PhD study, in particular: Jan Novak (NVIDIA), Robert Herzog (MPII), Ondrej Karlik (Chaos Corona), Michal Lukac (Adobe), Radomir Vavra (UTIA, Czech Academy of Sciences), Michal Hapala (NVIDIA). Supervision of their theses makes a serious reason for rejecting any kind of reviews in both directions, even when providing full anonymity.
  • Reviewer for journals: ACM Transactions on Graphics (TOG), IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications (CGA), IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG), Computers and Graphics (Elsevier), Computer Graphics Forum (CGF), Visual Computer, Journal of Graphics Tools (JGT), etc.
  • Reviewer for conferences: main SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH ASIA conferences, main Eurographics conferences, Eurographics Symposia and Workshops on Rendering, Symposia on Interactive Ray Tracing, conferences High Performance Graphics, GRAPP, Graphics Interface, SCCG, WSCG, Pacific Graphics, CGI, Graphicon, etc.

Research interests

Data structures and algorithms for rendering images and videos, visibility calculations, geometric range searching for global illumination, software architectures for rendering, applied Monte Carlo methods, reflectance function representations, data compression etc.

Language skills

Mother tongue Czech, fluent English, good German, intermediate Russian, basic Spanish.
