state of the art reports
State-of-the-art reports (STARs) are survey papers that cover hot topics in research on computer graphics and related fields. Their goal is to give a comprehensive overview of relevant work in the respective field and to explain in depth the problems, techniques, and algorithms involved. Potential STARs may be based on a recent tutorial or course given by the authors. If you have questions about your intended STAR topic, feel free to consult the STARs chairs. At EG '07, STAR authors will be given 90 minutes to present the state-of-the-art of their respective field. For one author, the conference registration fee will be waived. The authors of accepted STARs will be invited to submit their papers as regular contributions to Computer Graphics Forum.
