Conservation of Angular Momentum
Demo Information
momentum
This demo help you understand the law of conservation of angular momentum. Angular momentum is calculated as a product of angular velocity and moment of inertia. Moment of inertia is decreased when as the mass of an object is closer to the rotational axis thus it is decreased by pulling hands closer to the body and because of the fact that angular momentum is conserved, angular velocity is increased.
Parameter Description
Hands angle Slider to move doll's hand
Torque Slider to change the amount of torque applied to the doll
