Santiago's Bastion

This bastión had to be reconstructed in 1953. It is located on 8 street and Circuito Baluartes. The walls were made for cannons and other weaponry. Nowadays it is a Botanics Garden called XMUCH-HALTUN which in maya means "Sarteneja de la Rana" (refering to some wholes in the rocks where frogs live.
