The Soledad Bastion

The Bastion of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad was built to protect the Sea Gate. It is formed by a ramp that leads to a main esplanade, where a tower was built in order to control the port's traffic. It is located beside the "Parque Principal" (Main Park), on 8 Street. There, you can visit a hall of steles named Dr. Roman Piña Chan with an exhibition of 22 Mayan sculptures.
