PF 2024
January 2024
The Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction (DCGI) wishes a successful year 2024 to all our students, colleagues, partners, and friends.
In this image, traditional computer graphics meets the latest advances in machine learning. The input was a portrait photo of the head of the department, which was turned into a painting by Vicent van Gogh using a diffusion model [1]. To better preserve the identity, the FaceStyle algorithm [2] was used to enhance the eye, nose, and mouth regions. The Ink-and-Ray method [3] helped to create a 3D mesh of the frame. Finally, the whole composition was rendered using path tracing method [4]. |
