A game for developing the skills of children with ASD
The bachelor thesis describes the process of creating a game for developing the skills of children with autism spectrum disorders. Specifically, it focuses on the skill of recognizing and naming objects that children commonly encounter. First, user research is conducted, both through a literature search and interviews with two caregivers of children with these disorders. Next, existing solutions are analyzed. This analysis was based on a systematic literature review. Finally, the process of developing such a game is described, including design, implementation and testing. The advanced game prototype is built in the Unity game engine and is designed for mobile devices. This prototype was tested with three representatives of the target user group. The feedback provided by the testing was eventually incorporated into the final prototype.
