Education app in VR with voice commands

Jakub Dřímal Supervisor: David Sedláček Master thesis 2023
The aim of this work was to design and implement a geography educational application in virtual reality with voice control. The work explores educational applications in virtual reality and analyzes its design principles and usability. The analytical component is complemented by user research, where the key requirements and features of the proposed application were determined in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the results of the research, a concept was prepared together with the design of the user interface, requirements and hierarchical analysis of tasks. This was followed by the implementation of the project, an integral part of which was usability testing with users according to UCD methods. After the application was completed, the final testing began, where the participants completed test scenarios in which they tried different control techniques and subsequently evaluated their preferences. Part of the user testing was testing with a time constraint and a limited degree of hands-on interaction. At the end, there was an overall comparison of preferred techniques and an evaluation of the usefulness of the application for teaching geography.
