This bachelors thesis focuses on the digital reconstruction of a lost Baroque church using 3D modeling and augmented reality technologies. The main objective was to create an accurate 3D representation of the building based on archival plans, historical photographs, and artworks, and to make it accessible to the public through modern digital platforms. The resulting model includes both exterior and interior architectural elements and has been optimized for 3D printing as well as for use in a web-based virtual reality (WebVR) application. As part of the project, an interactive WebVR application was developed, enabling users to explore the church environment, discover information points with period photographs and accompanying texts, and gain a deeper understanding of the buildings historical and cultural context. The applications functionality was evaluated through user testing, which provided valuable insights for further improvement. This project bridges the fields of cultural heritage, 3D graphics, and interactive media, and demonstrates the potential of digital tools for the presentation and preservation of historical architecture in a contemporary digital context.
