Conversational assistant for smart home

Rudolf Talácko Supervisor: Zdeněk Míkovec Master thesis 2020
The thesis deals with the design of a conversation assistant for a smart household. It is focused on the target group of visually impaired people and older adults. A prototype of a conversation assistant for laundry, voice control of a washing machine and troubleshooting guide is created by using the principles of “User-Centered-Design”. The prototype is subjected to a user interface usability experiment with the target group, which aims to verify the quality of the design. The analysis of the obtained data is performed as an evaluation of the experiment. It is possible to identify key findings, evaluate benefits of the proposed system and determine the direction of further development. The output of the work is also a set of hypotheses for future quantitative research.
